The first St. Patrick Church building was dedicated in 1868. St. Patrick School has been ministering to students of all faiths since 1873.

St. Joseph Church and School were dedicated in 1910. St. Joseph, like St. Patrick, is a thriving parish, but St. Joseph School was closed in April 1970 due to declining enrollment.

Our Community

Our Catholic Community serves Meridian and Lauderdale County, including Naval Air Station Meridian and the surrounding counties. Thriving communities of Hispanic Catholics now enrich us with their strong faith. Our community is also enriched by the involvement of Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean and others.

The focus of our Catholic Community is Jesus Christ and the values He teaches us in the Sacred Scriptures.
